5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) ap-south-1 region
and Google Firebase. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
Encrypted transmission: All data exchanged between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
Encryption at rest: Data stored in AWS S3 and DynamoDB is protected using server-side encryption
Authentication security: Firebase Authentication uses short-lived, cryptographically signed tokens to control access
Role-based access control: Access to user data is restricted to authorized services and personnel on a strict need-to-know basis
Credential management: Service credentials and API keys are stored in AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store — never hardcoded in application source code
Health data protection: Medical records, X-ray images, and consultation notes are subject to additional access restrictions beyond standard user data
Security reviews: We periodically review and update our security practices to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities
While we implement industry-standard safeguards, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account and to report any suspected unauthorized access to us immediately.
