Money leaks out of the billing book
In most Indian clinics, billing is a receipt book, UPI payments to the doctor’s personal number, and an Excel sheet put together at month end so the CA has something for the GST filing.
Two things go wrong all the time. Work gets done and never billed, because the dentist who did it is not the person who writes the bills. And payment gets put off to “next visit”, which for many patients means it never comes.
Neither one looks like a problem on any given day. You only see a monthly total that is lower than it should be, and no way to find out why.
The bill is part of the visit
The bill is made against the same patient file as the appointment and the OPD note. So it comes from the work you wrote down at the chair, and nobody has to remember it later.
Invoices come out with GST on them. Most dental software made for the US or Europe can’t do this, which is why it doesn’t work in an Indian clinic however good the rest of it is.
The patient pays while they are still in the clinic: by UPI on a QR at the chair, or through a Razorpay link if they want to use a card or netbanking. The bill goes to them on WhatsApp.

Questions clinics ask
Does EnamDoc take a commission on my treatment billing?

Are the invoices GST compliant?
Invoices are generated GST-ready with your clinic’s billing profile. You should still have your accountant review the setup once when you configure it, as you would with any billing system.
How do patients pay?
By UPI on a QR shown at the chair, or online through Razorpay, which covers cards, netbanking and UPI. Cash payments can also be recorded against the invoice.
Can I send the bill to the patient?
Yes — invoices can be sent to the patient on WhatsApp.
Does this replace my accounting software?
No, and it does not try to. EnamDoc handles clinical billing and payment collection. Your accountant’s ledger stays where it is. An accounting integration is on the roadmap but is not available today.
